We don’t like boring. We don’t like stuffy. We don’t like jargon. And we definitely don’t do things just because they’ve always been done that way. Foundation Ex started as an idea to find a forum where the ‘business speak’ was left at the door and the real technical issues of the day got discussed out in the open.
The very idea that Empire Engineering (at the time a small offshore wind foundation design consultancy) could host events seemed fanciful. But sometimes, you have go for it, you have to push further, you have to think deeper. Our first live conference was held in Bristol in 2019. We returned in 2022 and again, bigger and bolder, for 2025.
